The Lake Saint Louis Police Officer’s Association would like
to thank everyone that made our Joplin Tornado Relief Donation Drop a success.
Because of you, we were able to take 14 pallets, each being approximately 5
feet tall, down to the Joplin Salvation Army in a 26’ box truck that was
donated to us by Hogan Trucking. Additionally, we transported 2 vehicle loads
of donations, which were divided between the Jasper County Sheriff’s
Department, Joplin Police Department, Carthage Police Department and Jasper County
Fire & Ambulance Dispatch.

With the money raised during this effort, the Lake Saint
Louis Police Officer’s Association was able to make monetary donations to the 12
Law Enforcement Officers with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department (8) and
Joplin Police Department (4) who lost their homes in the tornado.

Because of the large turnout that we received during this
effort and not having the ability to transport all of the items received to the
Joplin area, we made donations to the Sharing Shed and The United Methodist
Food Pantry in Hayti Missouri. The Sharing Shed provides families with food,
clothing and household items through the Chapel of the Lake
Church here in Lake St. Louis.
The United Methodist Food Pantry in Hayti provides meals to approximately 300
families per month.

Additionally, we would like to thank the City of Lake Saint
Louis, the Lake St. Louis Wal-Mart, Hogan Trucking, Granada Cyclery, Life Systems, Inc., Lake
St. Louis Police Explorers, Lake St. Louis Commodores, Green Tree Elementary,
Wentzville South Middle, The Goddard School (O’Fallon), Immanuel Lutheran
(Wentzville), Cuivre River Electric, Coldwell Banker Gundaker (Lake St. Louis),
the O’Fallon Police Officer’s Association and any other organization that conducted
drives at their respective locations and donated their items to our effort.
